Awards Ceremony will be held in the host hotel Park Royal on Sunday April 28th at 6:30PM.

All athletes and spectators who are not guests will have to wear an ID bracelet. Make sure to ask for these in packet pick-up.

Age group athletes in 113K, Relay, and Sprint will be awarded first, second and third place in both male and female category.

All participants of Challenge Cancún Womens’ will receive an award for participation.


Pro Athletes

In a few words: We love and welcome PRO ATHLETES!. Challenge-Cancun will be part of the Challenge Family World Bonus standings for 2019.

Same as all Challenge races, Pro Athletes should follow the registration procedure and will receive the following benefits:
• Free entry for athletes ranked 1-250 in the Prize Money Ranking
• 50% of entry fee for athletes ranked from 251 – 400 in the Prize Money Ranking
• For athletes ranked 401 and above, entry benefits are at the discretion of the race director

Challenge-Cancun Prize Purse
A total of $20,000 USD Prize Purse will be equally divided ($10,000) for male and female Pro Athletes with the following breakdown:

  1. $5,000
  2. $2,250
  3. $1,500
  4. $750
  5. $500

Challenge Family World Bonus

The $165k end-of-season bonus will pay five deep across both male and female with the top ranked Pro taking home $30k. Second place will carry a bonus of $20k, third, fourth and fifth positions will pay $15k, $12k and $5k accordingly. Ranking will be decided through a fair points system based on placing’s earned. In the event of a tie, the prize money will be averaged between the two athletes and corresponding places.
